Update Commission Spinning Prices

Our Fiber Services

ANGORA, ALPACA, WOOL I offer commission spinning. Send me your raw, uncarded angora fiber or washed wool or alpaca at least 3" in length, and I will spin it to your desired type- 2 ply or 3 ply laceweight, fingering, sock or DK. Include your blending fiber and we will do that as well. Minimal VM (weeds, hay etc) ok. Price to spin your washed fleece is $.20 a yard plus shipping back and forth by First ClassMail. United States only.

This means that except for angora which can be spun right off the animal, for fastest turn around, all other fibers must be in ready to spin condition- already skirted, already scoured or washed and dehaired. Already carded is a plus but not required. I can handle that.

Ask about an in kind fiber exchange as well in which instead of cash we agree on me keeping a percentage of your fiber from the raw weight.

Examples:

Unwashed fleece- I keep 50% of the raw. Unwashed weight.

Washed fleece- I keep 30% of the pre carded weight.

**Note: it may seem like a real hardship to scour/wash your own fiber yourself, but believe me it pays in the end in less wastage and lower shipping fees. Why pay to send lanolin, manure, weeds and dirt through the mail?
