Raw Angora for Spinning

I provide angora for the spinner looking for the luxury yarn. My spinning fiber is always prime, at least 3.5 inches in staple length, and immaculately clean. I spin my yarn normally straight from the rabbit or "from the cloud" as it is called and want you to be able to spin this way as well.

German Angora Rabbits

We raise 100% German Angora rabbits. German Angoras easily produce fiber weights and quality most practical and cost effective for yarns and felts for the fiber artist. We do have litters every ince in a while and I have friends who also have litters if you are looking for rabbits of breeding age. Otherwise I almost always have older rabbits who are wooler and pet quality available. Drop us an email to join a waiting list or be updated as to bunny availability.

About the Spinning Angora

Hi my name is Mary Hammond and I live in Northern California dividing my time between Mt. Shasta and Humboldt Bay. I love angora rabbits, spinning yarns and all things fiber arts. With The Spinning Angora, I have successfully combined all these interests into one and strive to provide all things angora to the fiber arts community including yarns, raw fibers, and apparels. I learned to spin with imported German Angora first on a simple  Bumblebee spinning wheel. I was such a beginner, I was unaware angora was considered by the experienced spinners a very difficult fiber to spin. By joining local spinning guilds, I attended and worked sheep and alpaca shearings, taking home big bags of fleece and fiber from various breeds to practice skirting, scouring, carding and spinning. When I became proficient, I began spinning on commission for people I met on Facebook. So far I have spun Corriedale, Merino, Jacob wool from the Midwest and West Coast, Alpaca and Angora from all over the country.
