I began making crocheted angora leg warmers when my granddaughter began ballet at five years old. Theaters can be very cold especially during winter Nutcracker rehearsals. All the leg warmers were made year by year to match the different leotard colors assigned to grade levels. I then began making them for their mothers in various multi colors.

The warmers are tied top and bottom with satin ribbon.

How It's Made:

The fiber comes from my own German Angora house rabbits, humanely clipped every 90 days, the yarn is spun by me or on rare occasions by a mill, hand dyed by me using white vinegar acid dyes, then crocheted by me. Blends are added by the mill or when handspun by me locally sourced Merino or Romney or Cormo.

A sweet, elegant gift and/or fashion accessory.

Available in 100% angora or blended 50 50 with wool.
